Difference Between Traditional Teaching and Online Teaching

The world is changing fast and similarly, the lives of students are also changing. Unlike the olden days nowadays students are leading busy lives and they have to juggle between jobs and attaining education. Besides this, not every student has the finances to go abroad to study.

This is where online education comes in as the availability of online education helps students to acquire degrees from abroad while not having to leave their home country and at half the cost and with less hassle. Online programs are mostly designed to cater to student's needs, they are more flexible and accessible, and they offer a wider range of programs.

It has been observed that the number of online courses offered by universities has dramatically increased especially after the Covid-19 pandemic. Colleges and universities are rapidly implementing online classes to meet the needs of students from around the world.

In comparison to traditional classroom teaching, online teaching makes it possible to offer classes worldwide using only a single internet connection and in many cases have a multicultural student body. Although online education has quite a number of advantages but at the same time, it has its disadvantages as well.

Online and traditional classes are similar in many ways. In online classes as well the students are required to attend classes the same as in traditional classrooms, learn lessons, submit assignments, do quizzes or tests, and complete group projects. While teachers have to design curriculums, make lesson plans, deliver and explain lessons moreover make the class interactive, motivate students to learn, and grade assignments.

Despite these similarities, there are many differences between the two modalities. In a traditional classroom in most cases classes are teacher-centered and do not require much involvement from students, while for online education student- needs to be self–motivated and take interest in their education.

In traditional classrooms, the teacher leads the classroom. In most cases the teacher gives lectures and explains the lessons while students listen, take notes, and ask questions or complete the tasks given to them.

As far as online education is concerned the dynamics of the classroom is usually dependent on students as they self-study the lesson being taught to them, search for other information related to the lesson for better comprehension, construct questions, and ask the teacher for clarification.

One of the biggest disadvantages of online education is that online learners give up more easily as compared to students using traditional methods to acquire education.

Another hurdle observed with online learning is the lack of feedback which has been experienced both by students and teachers. In a traditional classroom, many times teachers are able to understand students' level of comprehension by their body language as well. But this is not possible in online classrooms until or unless the students themselves share the issues faced by them in the process of learning with the teacher.

Because of these shortcomings, students’ retention, satisfaction, and performance can be compromised.

Both modalities have some advantages and disadvantages. It cannot be said that one system is superior to the other rather it will differ from one person to another as it is a personal choice determined by the learner, based on their preferences, their lifestyle, and their comfort.

"Building Dreams One Book At A Time: The Kolachi Neighborhood Library

Once upon a time, in the picturesque town of Kolachi, there was a group of children who came up with a great idea. They wanted to set up a little library for themselves, a place where they could read and discover the wonders of the books. The children gathered in a circle, their faces filled with excitement. Eman, a determined girl with brown hair, said, "We can collect books from our homes for the library." The idea spread like wildfire, and soon, everyone was enthusiastic about their project. They decided to call it the " Kolachi Neighbourhood Library ."  The children went door-to-door in their neighborhood, explaining their dream of a library. People were touched by their determination and willingly donated books they had enjoyed when they were young. Mr.Jamal gave his old adventure tales, Mrs.Tahir handed over her cherished picture books, and even Nani contributed her collection of fairy tales. With each donated book, the library began to grow. The children work...

How to Make the Most of Outsourcing Business Processes

“Business Process Outsourcing” (Business Process Outsourcing) is also referred to as BPO. It is a form of outsourcing to a third-party provider of business functions rather than specific tasks which means that through a BPO a complete business function is outsourced and not just a single job. For instance, BPO services may include accounting, IT, sales, and customer support. BPO is generally leveraged to decrease costs. BPO may be divided into two sub-categories as most organizations adopt BPO for two main functions: Front-office BPO : This deals with components of business operations which include public-facing business operations like sales, customer support, marketing, and sales. Back-office BPO:  Refers to departments that do not involve dealing with the public directly such as finance, tax planning, payroll, IT services, human resources, and quality assurance. BPO can also be divided into three types based on the location of the BPO vendor. Domestic outsourcing is also known a...
