How to Stay Positive in Stress

Stress is a physical, mental, and emotional response to challenging situations. It is your body's reaction when it feels it is under abnormal pressure.

Stress is very common and is a normal reaction to everyday living and pressures. And in some ways, it helps you to meet the demands of home, work, and family life. This pressure can come from different aspects of your daily life. Such as an increased workload, when going through some change in life, an argument, or financial woes.

But increased stress or stress that lasts a long time can interfere with your day-to-day functioning by affecting your mood, your body, and your relationships. It can make you feel anxious and irritable, and affect your self-esteem. Long-term stress can also cause health problems.

Preventing and managing stress and keeping it at a healthy level can help improve your health and lower your risk of suffering from different conditions like heart disease, obesity, and depression.

It is not possible to eliminate stress for good but there are multiple ways to decrease stress. Effective stress management comes from combating stress on many different fronts. Maintaining a healthy lifestyle is extremely important as healthy lifestyle habits can help us to better manage our responses to stress. They help us to combat and avoid the negative effects of chronic stress.

Maintaining a healthy lifestyle has many benefits, such as a reduction in frustration, and an increased life span. While maintaining a happy, positive, and healthy lifestyle is tough, the benefits we reap from maintaining a healthy lifestyle are more than the effort it takes to maintain it.

The improvement in health and wellness that you experience, as well as the stress reduction, will make you wonder why you did not make these changes earlier.

Many of the healthy lifestyle habits and ways to decrease stress discussed here will have a positive effect on your overall health.

Practice Meditation

Meditation can help to reduce psychological stress and anxiety. Research proves that meditation is the best form of stress relief. Even five minutes of mindful meditation can help in reducing stress. Meditation slows the activity in the brain down until eventually it is completely shut off.

To practice mindfulness and meditation, sit in a quiet place, breathe, and focus on the present moment. When thoughts arise, acknowledge them, then let them go and continue to focus on the present moment. Meditation should be effortless and should lead to a state in which all the stress in your mind is neutralized.

Adopt Healthy Eating Habits

To lead a fit, healthy lifestyle and eliminate stress try to eat better. Give your body plenty of energy by eating healthy foods which include vegetables, fruits, grains, and protein.

Try to avoid consuming too much caffeine and sugar. Caffeine being a stimulant can sometimes cause anxiety and nervousness. Foods high in sugar will make you feel bloated, sluggish, and tired. Also, be aware of unhealthy emotional eating patterns or stress eating.

Obesity will also have a negative influence on your self-esteem, switching to a healthier diet is not only one of the ways to decrease stress but is also beneficial for overall wellness.

Be More Active

When your body feels good, the mind also feels good. Research shows that only 30 minutes of moderate physical activity is one of the most effective ways to decrease stress and it also improves the quality of sleep. It also helps in maintaining weight. Regular exercise also contributes to increased alertness and concentration.

Try to Improve Quality of Sleep

Stress has a negative effect on the quality of sleep. When dealing with stress you should learn techniques that help in maintaining the quality of sleep. Establish a sleeping routine. Follow it by trying to go to bed and waking up at the same time each day.

Turn off devices. Scrolling through your phones or watching TV makes it harder to fall asleep. Have a calming, pre-bedtime ritual like a warm bath or reading a book.

A good night's sleep is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Improving the quality of sleep has many positive effects on overall health and is one of the many ways to decrease stress, and improve attentiveness and attention span.

Share with Friends and Family

Share with your friends and family that you're feeling stressed. They can help by providing support during periods of stress. In return lend help to friends and family when they are burdened with stress. This will also help to improve your mental and emotional health.

See a Health Professional

Stress is a normal part of life. Ongoing stress can have detrimental effects on your mental health. If your stress keeps getting worse it can lead to serious problems like depression or anxiety.

A mental health professional (like a psychologist or psychiatrist) can help treat these conditions. Either by suggesting ways to decrease stress and lead a healthy lifestyle. In certain cases, they may suggest treatment. Remember that there is no taboo in seeking help for mental health.

While it’s not possible to dodge all stress, proactively using a combination of ways to decrease stress can help in leading a happy, positive, and healthy lifestyle.

Luckily, all these options are easy to apply in daily life. So next time you’re feeling overwhelmed, get some sleep, go for a walk, and practice mindfulness.

Sibling Love: A Confusing Enigma

“Siblings: children of the same parents, each of whom is perfectly normal until they get together.” – Sam Levenson This is a quote that I believe truly reflects the feelings of siblings for each other. This month we have been assigned to write about “Love.” In our society when we hear the word love most people imagine Bollywood kind of love and images of a boy and girl dancing around trees flash in their minds. I will take this opportunity and write about love between siblings which is a very different kind of love. I believe it is a deeper, intense, and purer type of love. Some may disagree with me but I believe that there is no bond stronger than that between siblings. Although the relationship between siblings is quite complex and a paradox that has yet to be resolved, it is very beautiful and unique at the same time. Through this article, I would like to try and explore the intricacies of the bond between siblings. Siblings are the best gift that our parents give us. When we trav

Food, shopping, and fun in Dubai, why should we invest in Dubai?

Dubai is the dream destination for many, and rightly so. The tall buildings, expansive roads, and clean beaches are what everyone dreams of, also Dubai is deemed to be the safest city on earth, especially for women, making it the ideal destination for holidays or relocation for many of multiple nationalities. Making it truly one of the most multicultural cities in the world! However, living in Dubai as an expatriate is majorly different than visiting it as a tourist. There are three reasons why people should look before investing in Dubai. For the first one, one should know that food is very expensive in Dubai and you will spend a lot of money eating, which increases the cost of living. The trick is to be able to find cheap and reasonable places to eat if you’re a tourist and honestly just get a gas connection if you are deciding on staying long-term. The food is more suited for those who prefer blander flavors, it is tough finding something genuinely spicy and more suited for the “des

"Building Dreams One Book At A Time: The Kolachi Neighborhood Library

Once upon a time, in the picturesque town of Kolachi, there was a group of children who came up with a great idea. They wanted to set up a little library for themselves, a place where they could read and discover the wonders of the books. The children gathered in a circle, their faces filled with excitement. Eman, a determined girl with brown hair, said, "We can collect books from our homes for the library." The idea spread like wildfire, and soon, everyone was enthusiastic about their project. They decided to call it the " Kolachi Neighbourhood Library ."  The children went door-to-door in their neighborhood, explaining their dream of a library. People were touched by their determination and willingly donated books they had enjoyed when they were young. Mr.Jamal gave his old adventure tales, Mrs.Tahir handed over her cherished picture books, and even Nani contributed her collection of fairy tales. With each donated book, the library began to grow. The children work
